National Gallery of Victoria – Local Landscape Project

20 grade 5/6 students at my school were lucky enough to be given the opportunity to join a program run by the National Gallery of Victoria (which runs each year for a small group of students who get in early!)

They took part in a discussion about past and present Australian artists and heard a modern Australian artist present about how they  use light, direction and shape in their artwork.

The grade 5 and 6 students then spent one lunchtime for a term to paint these amazing artworks before having them displayed at the National Gallery of Victoria.

Check out the amazing work they created during lunchtimes over a term.
